Cheney Teh is a talented musician with a passion for the Erhu, starting her musical journey at the young age of 8, and over the years, she has dedicated herself to perfecting her craft, earning a Diploma in Erhu Performance from both the NUS Centre for the Arts and the NAFA-CCOM Chinese Instrumental Exams. She has also had the opportunity to perform with various orchestras, including the Toa Payoh West Community Club Chinese Orchestra and the Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra (SNYCO).
In 2019, Cheney was chosen to represent SNYCO at the Hong Kong Youth Music Camp, where she had the chance to perform alongside other talented young musicians. She has also travelled to China for overseas exchange trips to cities such as Shanghai, Suzhou, and Guangzhou.
