Cyril has performed extensively in ensembles and orchestras including the Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra (SNYCO) and NAFA Chinese Orchestra. Since joining SNYCO in 2016 as a Zhonghu player, he has performed regularly with the orchestra and participated in the orchestra’s overseas exchange trip to Beijing and Shanghai in 2017. In the same year, he was chosen by SNYCO to attend the Macao Youth Music Festival. Furthermore, he has also played with numerous ensembles and orchestras. Also invited to play for Dingyi Masterpieces by Peng Xiuwen and Ding Yi Chinese Chamber Music Festival 2019.
In 2018, he was awarded the 2nd prize in the Erhu Youth Category of the National Chinese Music Competition Co-organised by the National Arts Council and Singapore Chinese Orchestra Company Limited. Currently learning under NAFA’s Head of Chinese Instrumental Studies Mr Wong Sun Tat, he is pursuing her Bachelor of Education (Honours) at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA).
