Khoo Sze Ning is a Guzheng teacher who is patient and always makes sure the lessons are fun and engaging. Her lessons are paced comfortably and will make sure that you will have a good understanding of all basics and foundation techniques before moving on. With her bilingual skills, she can conduct lessons in both English and Mandarin, allowing you to choose a comfortable language in learning.
Having a strong passion for music since young, Khoo Sze Ning started learning Guzheng under the tutelage of Mdm Zhang Lufen when she was 8.
In 2019, Sze Ning was successfully admitted to the School Of The Arts Singapore (SOTA). During her study there, under the tutelage of Mdm Yinqun, Sze Ning achieved excellent results in her NAFA-ccom grading examinations (Grade 6-9) and also clinching awards in competitions such as getting a silver prize in the 2019 inaugural International Nanyang Cup Chinese Music Competition in the “junior professional” category.
In 2023, Sze Ning was successfully admitted into the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) to further her studies in Guzheng performance still under the tutelage of Mdm Yinqun. During her studies Sze Ning had actively taken part in the NAFA Chinese ensemble, NAFA Guzheng ensemble and NAFA Chinese Orchestra.
