Meet Wendy Mo, a passionate and dedicated Guzheng teacher whose friendly, patient, and goal-oriented approach has helped countless students grow in skill and confidence. With over a decade of experience in both performance and teaching, Wendy brings a deep love for the Guzheng and a sincere commitment to every lesson she teaches.
Wendy’s musical journey began at the age of five, and her early dedication led her to study under the renowned Professor Chen Yin at the Guizhou College of Music. There, she built a strong foundation in traditional Chinese music and developed the technical precision and expressive depth that define her playing today.
A certified Senior Guzheng Instructor accredited by the Central Certified of Music (中央音乐认证高级古筝教师), Wendy also holds the highest level of Guzheng Certification in Performance. Her expertise and dedication shine through in the consistent progress of her students, as well as in her own continued accomplishments as a musician.
Wendy’s talent has been recognized in several prestigious competitions, including a Silver Medal in the Youth Group at the 9th Straits Youth Art Festival (Guizhou Division), and another Silver Medal in the Adult Group Guzheng Solo category at the 13th International Chinese Art Festival held in Guizhou, China.
Beyond teaching, Wendy actively contributes to the Guzheng community as a member of the Guzheng Professional Committee of the Guizhou Ethnic Orchestral Music Society (贵州省民族管弦乐学会古筝专业委员会), where she works to promote greater appreciation and understanding of Guzheng music.
Now based in Singapore, Wendy teaches at Eight Tones Music School, where she continues to inspire a new generation of Guzheng players. Her students appreciate not just her musical knowledge, but also her warm, supportive guidance and culturally rich teaching style.
