Early Childhood Music Introductory Session

Hey there, parents! Celebrate Mother’s Day through a gentle, sensory-rich musical experience with your child at Eight Tones Music School.

In this special session, Dr. Natalie Alexandra Tse (Dr. Nat) invites mothers and children into a shared space of listening, play, and connection—using the guzheng, a traditional Chinese string instrument known for its warm, resonant tones.

What to expect

Rather than a structured music class, this session unfolds as a play of sounds and multisensorial exploration, guided by the principles of SonicPlay™.

Together, you and your child will:

  • Listen to the gentle vibrations of the guzheng—feeling sound through the body, not just the ears
  • Explore its strings and wooden surface through plucking, sliding, tapping, and resonating
  • Engage the senses with complementary materials such as scarves, textures, and simple objects that respond to movement and touch
  • Move and respond freely, allowing sound, gesture, and emotion to intertwine
  • Create small shared sound moments—intimate, playful, and uniquely your own

Who is this for?

This session is for children aged 3–5, accompanied by one parent. A single ticket admits one parent-child pair. For an additional parent, please check with us via WhatsApp: +65 9836 2072.

A meaningful Mother’s Day experience

Rooted in the SonicPlay™ pedagogy, this session honours the idea that children are already deeply attuned to sound. Through attentive listening and responsive play, mothers and children engage in a quiet “conversation” of sounds, gestures, and presence.

This is not about performance or outcomes. It is about:

  • being present with your child
  • noticing and responding to one another
  • creating moments of connection through sound

A space to listen, feel, and connect

This Mother’s Day, step into a slower, more attentive way of being together.

Through sound, touch, and shared presence, Listen, Play, Create offers a simple but meaningful gift: time to listen, and to be listened to.
