Hsiang Ting Chan - Erhu Teacher

Ms. Hsiang-Ting Chan is a professionally trained Erhu performer and educator from Taiwan whose passion for music began at the age of 16, when a single Erhu melody profoundly moved her and inspired her to pursue the instrument.

She graduated from the Department of Chinese Music at the National Taiwan University of Arts, majoring in Erhu. During her studies, she trained under the guidance of Mr. Hsiao Chung-chi, Ms. Tsai Chia-jung, and Ms. Wang Ying-chieh, developing a strong artistic and technical foundation. She was actively involved in numerous performances, including a recording project for Formosa Television (FTV) as part of a Chinese-Western orchestral collaboration. In 2022, she presented her solo Erhu recital, Psalms, marking an important milestone in her artistic journey.
