See Ying Xin is a passionate, encouraging and attentive teacher with five years of teaching experience. She strives to make every lesson enjoyable and meaningful, adapting her teaching approach to each student’s age, ability and learning pace. She places strong emphasis on building solid foundations, developing proper playing techniques and cultivating good practice habits, while helping students build confidence and musical expression.
Ying Xin began learning the guzheng at the age of eight and has gained extensive experience as both a soloist and an ensemble musician. During her school years, she served as Chairperson of a Guzheng Ensemble and later as Vice-Chairperson of a Chinese Orchestra. She participated in the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation and performed at numerous school celebrations, arts festivals and open houses. She has also coached several primary school guzheng CCAs and prepared students for the Singapore Youth Festival.
In 2025, Ying Xin was awarded the Grand Prize in the Singapore Guzheng Amateur Youth Category at the World Chinese Music Competition. Through her lessons, she hopes to share her passion for the guzheng and inspire students to develop confidence and a lasting appreciation for Chinese music.
